NJASK also called New Jersey Assessment of Skills and Knowledge is a standardized test given to all New Jersey public-schooled students in grades 3 to grade 8 usually during March to May, and is administered by the New Jersey Department of Education.

In 2003, NJ ASK replaced the ESPA (Elementary School Proficiency Assessment) as the standard assessment for all New Jersey public students.

HSPA (High School Proficiency Assessment) is a similar assessment test given to New Jersey high school students during their 11th grade.
